J. Edward Pennington is the current
Chairman and CEO of the First Texas Land Company.  Mr.
Pennington has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry
on a national and international scale.
He was responsible for real estate
acquisitions and dispositions for the world’s largest ranch
with over 11,000,000 acres of land in the United States and six
foreign countries.
He has negotiated the purchase,
sale and tax-free exchange of
over 2 million acres of ranch and commercial land
exceeding $1.75 billion in value involving a number
of complex factors.
He has developed 18 apartment complexes
containing over 3,600 units, a luxury high-rise condominium project,
5 shopping centers, three office buildings, three motels, and a
luxury hotel. He has negotiated over $300 million in oil and gas
exploration joint ventures with two of the world’s largest
oil and gas companies.
He has negotiated over $2.5 billion in financing
for the above projects.
He is a licensed real estate broker.
